We are a successful family-owned residential construction and design business with over 55 years of experience and a reputation built on quality, care, and value.

We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Administration Assistant to work with our Finance team on a full-time basis.

About the role

  • Maintain motor vehicle register and insurance
  • Lodge HBCF applications with iCare as needed, organize payment and certificates
  • Accounts Payable – assist weekly preparation
  • Accounts Receivable – collections and reporting, assist invoice processing and related accounting entries such as accruals and prepayments, and passing relevant journal entries
  • Assist cash payments and receipts posting
  • Liaise with the construction team on new supplier / sub-contractor engagements
  • Issue subcontractor packs and follow up as needed
  • Raise new (approved) supplier details into Databuild & Xero
  • Establish and maintain subcontractor insurance register
  • Manage fuel and toll cards (additions/replacements/reporting)
  • Attend to ad hoc inquiries from clients and staff
  • Meet and greet customers and answer phone inquiries.
  • Provide general assistance to the Finance and Admin team as needed

About you

  • Good communicator with the ability to prioritize
  • Can work as part of a team and independently
  • Attention to detail & deadline focused
  • You could be completing studies or an experienced bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping, or accounts experience is essential
  • At least 3 years of Xero experience is essential
